...And Christmas Preparations Begin

Trimming the tree. So much fun with the kids getting bigger. Fun for them, and fun for Mom (I get to watch and take pictures while they do it :) ! Each of us got a new ornament this year to add to our "Texas" tree that resides in the livingroom. Our visit to San Antonio provided the perfect opportunity. Dad-Texas Santa, Mom-Star, Caleb-the pickup he would like to have someday in the near future, Jake-the cowboy boots he covets, Emma Jane - always the angel, and Ethan-our budding palentologist always bringing home "new" old bones.

More Pictures of San Antonio

Labor Day in San Antonio

Decided to take a last minute trip to San Antonio to Celebrate Labor Day. Took the kids to Six Flags, the IMAX movie about the Alamo and then the Alamo. Lots of people but really nice to spend time together. Closed everything up with a trip down the "river". By the way to all who ever think about making a similar journey...lots of fun but don't make it on a holiday weekend the traffice was AWFUL!!!!!! Worth the time together.

Julie and the Big Yellow Bus

The title sounds a little like a kids picture book but sadly no...this is my current occupation. I really do love the kids I drive this year. Blessings, I guess. Glenn shot these when I came home for a quick pitt stop between my regular route and off again for a field trip. Can't remember which one...probably hauling 7th grade football players to their game. This year I kind of became the unofficial driver for the football team for the middle school I drive for. They didn't win much but we had fun getting there. This is the group of drivers I "hang with" for my Elementary school route. The school had the t-shirts specially made just for us. :)

Alliance Air Show and The Blue Angels

Halloween afternoon fell on the same weekend as the Air Show. Living right next to the airport has it advantages. Seeing and feeling the supersonic rattling of these beautiful planes in full show form is just awsome. Caleb was the photographer.

Running again...Yes, it has really been 2 years

After a very dry blogging spell I am attempting to update a few things. We'll start with yesterday. I took all four kids and a couple friends to the Haslet Hustle 5K run. Ethan and Emma got first place in their age group...Caleb and Jake were some of the first in. All had a great time and ended with a trip to the donut shop for breakfast of champions.
